Description

The straight viewing SX-2 Kenai 2 25-60x80 HD Spotting Scope Kit from Leupold features an objective lens that is constructed from high-quality glass with specialized optical coatings to provide clear and bright images. The lens elements are made of lead-free, Extra-low Dispersion (ED), calcium-fluoride glass to correct for chromatic aberrations, increase contrast, and improve color rendition. Additionally, they are multi-coated to prevent internal ghosting and reflections. These coatings are highly reflective and minimize the loss of light while further boosting contrast and color fidelity. To further ensure sharpness and accurate color across the entire visible spectrum, this spotting scope features BAK4 prisms and an eyepiece with rare earth element-coated lenses. The highly refractive BAK4 prisms minimize spherical aberrations for increased edge-to-edge sharpness and help improve depth of view. This combination of coatings and optics creates a spotting scope that produces bright, clear, highly contrasted images with accurate color transmission.

This SX-2 Kenai 2 25-60x80 HD Spotting Scope's lightweight magnesium-alloy body is nitrogen-filled and is both water and fogproof. The GuardION lens coating associated with SX-2 Kenai 2 spotting scopes results in an improved beading effect when in contact with water for greater cleaning efficiency. While the included 25-60x eyepiece provides a linear field of view of 125.7-41.9' at 1,000 yards, a separately-available fixed magnification 30x eyepiece enables a wider field of view. The scope's tripod mounting shoe also accepts a 1/4"-20 mounting bolt, and a retractable lens shade keeps the Sun or rain off the objective lens.
